This web site is
one of our network of ten that are operated by the Carolina Institute for
Conflict Resolution and Creative Leadership (CICRCL, pronounced “circle”) and
based in the mountains near Asheville, North Carolina. As Co-directors of
CICRCL, our mission is providing our readers with evolutionary resources for
shifting their consciousness.
This web site focuses on building intimate, sustainable relationships. We believe that relationships are the best place to accelerate our consciousness, particularly our most intimate ones. In close relationships, mostly through conflicts, people show us parts of ourselves of which we are unaware, or parts of ourselves we have some awareness of but have judgments about.
Using others as mirrors for self-discovery and personal growth requires special skills and tools that turn this typically uncomfortable situation into a consciousness-shifting opportunity. Here on this site, we show you how to learn this skill through the many conflict resolution tools, self-assessment forms and diagnostic inventories that we share from our workshops.
