This website is one of our network of ten that are operated by the Carolina Institute for Conflict Resolution and Creative Leadership (CICRCL, pronounced “circle”) and based in the mountains near Asheville, North Carolina. As Co-directors of CICRCL, our mission is providing our readers with evolutionary resources for shifting their consciousness.
On this website we feature information drawn from the many PowerPoint presentations we have done during the last five years to help inform people about the events and potential meaning of 2012.
In these presentations, we shared the wealth of information we found in ancient texts and mythologies, in astrology and astronomy, and in many fields of science supporting the idea that humanity is in the midst of a profound transformation.
As cosmologists and psychologists, our study and synthesis of this material shifted our consciousness--about ourselves and about our participation in shaping the direction of human evolution. We hope reading here provides you with a similar experience.
Some of the most convincing material about 2012 came from interpreting structures at sacred Mayan sites such as Chichen Itza, pictured in the image on the right. Some of the people who have been studying these temples and ruins believe that they are cosmic "calendars" containing messages about the evolution of both Earth and the evolution of consciousness.
On this site you'll also find a lot of the information we've been collecting from many different researchers, plus some of their interpretations. While we have our favorite researchers and perspectives on 2012, we present an overview of them and let you determine which fit best for you.
